Learning Log 7

Ahhhh,finally the Romeo and Juliet play is over.
And I think all the groups did a very good job,their efforts really paid off.
But my group is still the best though:D
The hard part was preparing for the play,we faced lots of problems.
For example,forgetting our lines,someone forgetting to bring something and other stuff
But these moments were filled with fun,and the obstacles we faced were solved.
Now that the play is over,I am starting to miss the moments I had with my group members.
At least,we gave it our best shot :)
Fighting ON!GROUP 4!!!!

Learning Log 6

Literary Devices,both basic and advanced,was what I learned recently.
But some of the basic literary devices were already learned in secondary 1.
Suddenly,so many new literary devices appeared.Some of them seem so
complicated that I don't quite understand,but I will try my best to sort them out.
Despite that,I know a few devices like oxymoron,it means a single image or idea,made up of contradictory/incongruent images.Hope that literary devices may naturally be
easier as I go on studying literature.But,I doubt so as literature still has lots of new things
that I would be learning.And they might be harder than literary devices,who knows?

Learning Log 5

Finally finished reading the unseen booklet, the time spent reading the booklet
did not go to waste too.I have learned lots of stuff from reading the booklet, like why
we should read a passage twice so that we can understand the passage better.
Or making down short notes to show where our attention would most likely be drawn to.
Long answers directly copied from the poem are not encouraged as well,as it
shows that we have certain doubts about the answer....

In conclusion,have confidence when answering an unseen poem as you are
most likely to face questions and poems that you have never seen before.
Which is why it is called unseen poem!

Learning Log 4

Thank god we're finally finished with our Macbeth performance!
At first,before the performance,I was very nervous about it.
But after I've done the performance(twice in  a row),I felt that it was quite fun.
Can't wait for the Romeo & Juliet performance...

First thing,lots of improvement for the other teams and lots of things to learn from them as well.
Secondly,efforts on props and clothing...Not really good though.
We all use trash bags as shirts,which makes all the teams look the same..
Only some groups made use of their own dress/shirt/shorts,which made them stand out from the other groups.
Lastly,our witch voices.Everyone tried their best sounding like witches,everybody had their unique voices.
Personally,I liked Sheng Bo's voice the best.Because it totally sounded like a witch.

Basically,the performances of every group was a memorable one.
Let's all join drama club!!!

Learning Log 3

Act 1 Scene 1 was about the witches,which we were asked to draw out the three witches...
My work wasn't coloured,I think I forgot to colour it the day before submission...
But the three witches I drew were pretty creative,there's a bad one and two good ones...
Act 1 Scene 2 was on the battles between the two kingdoms,
which I really liked because boys like the fighting,action and stuff like that...
So it was fun,interesting to learn about the past wars...
Basically,we didn't discuss much on the comic grid...
All we did was just exchanging some lines,because kae had to run around
Doing stuff for Mrs Woo,then we couldn't really share much...
Hope that we'll get lesser scoldings from mrs woo:D

Learning Log 2

Personally,I think not all witches are bad...
Some are good,like how some bacteria are bad and some are good.
And about their voices,it's so how you say,crooked?
Sounds like their voice broken or something...

About the superstition discussion,I found it really fun.
I got to know more superstitions,and other superstitions my friends wrote.
I think Friday the 13th was the most popular one,
almost everyone had it in their worksheet.

I had to present my work during the presentation,
I think I spoke too softly,gonna fail for my oral exams:D
The others were fine,and they shared even more superstitions with us.
Really 'enhances' our general knowledge,and might even prevent us from
doing stuff that we shouldn't be doing.
In conclusion,I find literature very different from other subjects.
As it doesn't require us to listen to the teacher all day long,
but it requires us to do hands-on work which I like to do:)

Learning Log 1

I've learned alot so far from literature,alot about cinquain.
'Cinquain' the word was derived from French word cinq,which means five.
*1st line:Title of the poem(one word)
*2nd line:Description of the word you mentioned in the first line(Two words)
*3rd line:Actions(three words)
*4th line:Feeling(four words)
*5th line:Reflection on the title(one word)

To be honest,the lessons were quite boring...
But I tried very hard to do homework and hand them up on time,
and also tried very hard to stay awake:)

Improvements:
More group work or interactive work like performance and stuff...And maybe,games:D
